Mukesh Ambani has reclaimed the title of India&rsquo;s richest individual in the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025, with his family&rsquo;s wealth valued at ₹9.55 lakh crore. 
Gautam Adani and family ranked second with a net worth of ₹8.15 lakh crore.
Ambani, who had earlier led the list in 2023, was India&rsquo;s richest man for ten consecutive years until 2021. 
However, in 2024, Adani briefly overtook him with ₹11.6 lakh crore.
The 2025 rankings also saw Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson of HCL Technologies, emerge as India&rsquo;s richest woman with a fortune of ₹2.84 lakh crore, marking her debut in the Top 3.
India&rsquo;s billionaire population continues to rise, with the number crossing 350 this year &mdash; a sixfold increase since the list was first published 13 years ago.
Collectively, the billionaires now hold wealth worth ₹167 lakh crore, which amounts to nearly half of India&rsquo;s GDP.
The report spotlighted young and self-made entrepreneurs as well. 
Aravind Srinivas, 31, founder of AI firm Perplexity, was named India&rsquo;s youngest billionaire with assets worth ₹21,900 crore. 
Overall, 66% of the billionaires are self-made, with 74% of the new entrants building their wealth from scratch.
When it comes to cities, Mumbai continues to dominate with the highest number of billionaires (451), followed by New Delhi (223) and Bengaluru (116).
