Zomato (now Eternal) has appointed Aditya Mangla as the new CEO of its food ordering and delivery business for a two-year term, effective July 6, 2025. Mangla will succeed Rakesh Ranjan, who completed his two-year tenure and will no longer serve as a Senior Management Personnel.
The board of directors approved Mangla&rsquo;s appointment on July 6, as per the company&rsquo;s filing with the NSE. Currently the Head of Product for food ordering and delivery, Mangla has played key roles at Eternal since joining in March 2021. He previously led initiatives to improve restaurant partnerships and customer experience, serving as Head of Supply and Head of Customer Experience.
Before joining Zomato, Mangla held senior positions across startups and tech firms, managing product, marketing, and P&amp;L functions.
Eternal CEO Deepinder Goyal, in an internal note, said Mangla&rsquo;s appointment reflects the company&rsquo;s vision for thoughtful and empathetic leadership. &ldquo;Leadership is about seeing beyond the obvious. I&rsquo;ve seen glimpses of that in Aditya again and again,&rdquo; Goyal said, adding that Mangla brings humility, system thinking, and the drive to act.
Goyal also acknowledged outgoing CEO Rakesh Ranjan&rsquo;s contributions in stabilising operations and fostering a high-performance culture.
