<div>Authorities continued dropping food and other relief materials through helicopters and drones. Boats and vehicles were also being used to supply food and drinking water packets to people in marooned neighbourhoods.</div>

<div>Officials said the flood fury has so far claimed 20 lives in the state. The NTR district accounted for 12 deaths and seven persons died in Guntur district. One death was reported from Palnadu district.</div>

<div>More than 6.44 lakh people have been affected by heavy rain and floods. Over 42,000 people were shifted to 193 relief camps. In the NTR district alone, 2.76 lakh people were affected by heavy rain and floods. Authorities opened 77 relief camps and shifted 14,160 people. Officials said 2.37 lakh people were affected in Krishna district. Over 9,000 people were shifted to 37 shelters.</div>

<div>As many as 26 teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), 22 teams of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and two teams of the Navy were deployed for rescue and relief operations in flood-hit districts. A total of 21 NDRF teams, 12 SDRF teams and two Navy teams were deployed in Vijayawada.</div>

<div>According to the disaster management department, four helicopters of the Indian Air Force (IAF) and two helicopters of the Navy are airdropping food items and airlifting people stranded in inundated areas.</div>

<div>The choppers were used to airlift 21 people from the inundated areas and to airdrop huge quantities of food items like cooked food, water, milk, and medical kits.</div>

<div>A total of 228 boats (174 motorised and 54 non-motorised) were arranged to evacuate people from inundated areas. As many as 315 active swimmers were engaged along with boats for rescue operations.</div>
<div>Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was still camping in Vijayawada to monitor rescue and relief operations.</div>

<p>પ્રકાશમ બેરેજ પર પાણીનું સ્તર ઘટવાનું ચાલુ રાખ્યું હતું, જેનાથી નીચે તરફના ગામડાઓ પર પૂરનો ખતરો ટળી ગયો હતો પરંતુ શહેરના ડૂબી ગયેલા વિસ્તારોમાં લોકોની તકલીફનો અંત આવ્યો નથી.</p>
<p>ભારે વરસાદ અને બુડામેરુ રિવ્યુલેટના ભંગને કારણે ડઝનેક વસાહતો ડૂબી ગઈ હતી.</p>
<p>નાળામાં પૂરની તીવ્રતા ઘટી હોવા છતાં પૂરગ્રસ્ત વિસ્તારોમાંથી પાણી વહી રહ્યું નથી.</p>
<p>અભૂતપૂર્વ પૂરથી વિજયવાડામાં 2.70 લાખથી વધુ લોકોને અસર થઈ છે. હજારો લોકોને રાહત શિબિરોમાં ખસેડવામાં આવ્યા છે.</p>
<p>સત્તાવાળાઓએ હેલિકોપ્ટર અને ડ્રોન દ્વારા ખોરાક અને અન્ય રાહત સામગ્રી છોડવાનું ચાલુ રાખ્યું. નૌકાઓ અને વાહનોનો ઉપયોગ ખાદ્યપદાર્થો અને પીવાના પાણીના પૅકેટોને ખાદ્યપદાર્થોવાળા પડોશમાં લોકોને પહોંચાડવા માટે પણ કરવામાં આવી રહ્યો હતો.</p>
<p>અધિકારીઓએ જણાવ્યું કે પૂરના પ્રકોપથી રાજ્યમાં અત્યાર સુધીમાં 20 લોકોના મોત થયા છે. એનટીઆર જિલ્લામાં 12 અને ગુંટુર જિલ્લામાં સાત લોકોના મોત થયા છે. પલનાડુ જિલ્લામાંથી એકનું મોત થયું છે.</p>

<p>હેલિકોપ્ટરનો ઉપયોગ ડૂબી ગયેલા વિસ્તારોમાંથી 21 લોકોને એરલિફ્ટ કરવા અને રાંધેલા ખોરાક, પાણી, દૂધ અને તબીબી કીટ જેવી ખાદ્ય ચીજોના વિશાળ જથ્થાને હવામાં મૂકવા માટે કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો.</p>
<p>કુલ 228 બોટ (174 મોટરવાળી અને 54 નોન-મોટરાઈઝ્ડ) ડુબી વિસ્તારોમાંથી લોકોને બહાર કાઢવા માટે ગોઠવવામાં આવી હતી. બચાવ કામગીરી માટે 315 જેટલા સક્રિય તરવૈયા બોટ સાથે રોકાયેલા હતા.<br>મુખ્યમંત્રી એન. ચંદ્રબાબુ નાયડુ હજુ પણ બચાવ અને રાહત કામગીરી પર નજર રાખવા વિજયવાડામાં પડાવ નાખી રહ્યા હતા.</p>
<p>મંત્રી કોલ્લુ રવિન્દ્ર અને વિજયવાડાના સાંસદ કેસનેની ચિન્નીએ બુધવારે સવારે ખોરાક અને પીવાના પાણીના પેકેટના વિતરણની દેખરેખ રાખી હતી.</p>
<p>દરમિયાન, વિજયવાડામાં કૃષ્ણા નદી પરના પ્રકાશમ બેરેજ પર પૂરનો પ્રવાહ ઓછો થયો છે. અધિકારીઓએ ચેતવણીનું સ્તર બેથી ઘટાડીને એક કર્યું છે.</p>
<p>બેરેજ પરનો પ્રવાહ અને જાવક ઘટીને 4.34 લાખ ક્યુસેક થઈ ગયો છે, જેનાથી નીચે તરફના ગામો પર પૂરનો ખતરો ટળી ગયો છે.</p>
