Shiv Sena (UBT) MLC Anil Parab has announced his decision to file a defamation suit against Kadam for spreading &ldquo;fabricated allegations&rdquo;, asserting that any compensation awarded will be donated to farmers affected by recent floods. Parab has also challenged Kadam to undergo a narco test, while demanding a re-investigation into the mysterious death of Kadam&rsquo;s wife in 1993 &mdash; a case he claimed was &ldquo;conveniently buried&rdquo;.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut hit back strongly, accusing Kadam of betraying Balasaheb&rsquo;s legacy for political mileage. The remarks, Raut said, were &ldquo;deeply disrespectful&rdquo; and an insult to the memory of the Sena founder who shaped Maharashtra&rsquo;s political identity for decades.
Observers note that the controversy has reignited old rivalries within the fractured Sena, highlighting the bitterness that still lingers after the party&rsquo;s dramatic split in 2022. The renewed war of words could have far-reaching political consequences ahead of the next state elections, with the Thackeray camp attempting to consolidate its emotional base while the Shinde faction tests its grip on traditional Sena voters.
