<p data-start="67" data-end="396">Indian stock markets opened on a positive note Tuesday morning, buoyed by easing geopolitical tensions after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. The positive global cues lifted investor sentiment, with strong buying observed in auto, IT, PSU banks, and financial services.</p>
<p data-start="398" data-end="518">At 9:31 am, the Sensex surged 756.5 points or 0.92% to 82,653.33, while the Nifty rose 229 points or 0.92% to 25,200.90.</p>
<p data-start="520" data-end="825">Analysts say the dramatic shift in West Asia, following the ceasefire announcement, signals the worst of the conflict may be over. &ldquo;The sharp reactions in crude oil and stock markets suggest geopolitical conditions are returning to normal,&rdquo; noted Dr. VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit.</p>
<p data-start="827" data-end="1031">Nifty Bank climbed 557.25 points or 0.99% to 56,616.60. The Nifty Midcap 100 index added 411 points or 0.71% to reach 58,617.80, while the Smallcap 100 gained 123.05 points or 0.67% to trade at 18,443.95.</p>
<p data-start="1033" data-end="1332">Aakash Shah, Technical Research Analyst at Choice Broking, said, &ldquo;The recent bounce in both Nifty and Bank Nifty reflects strong buying interest at lower levels. However, a decisive breakout above key resistance&mdash;25,200 for Nifty and 56,300 for Bank Nifty&mdash;is essential for continued upward momentum.&rdquo;</p>
<p data-start="1334" data-end="1519">Top gainers in the Sensex included Adani Ports, M&amp;M, UltraTech Cement, L&amp;T, Titan, SBI, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, and Bajaj Finserv. NTPC, BEL, and Trent were among the few laggards.</p>
<p data-start="1521" data-end="1718">Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers on June 23, offloading ₹1,874.38 crore in equities. Meanwhile, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) bought equities worth ₹5,591.77 crore.</p>
<p data-start="1720" data-end="1850">Asian markets were also trading positively, with indices in Bangkok, Japan, China, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Jakarta all in the green.</p>
<p data-start="1852" data-end="2085" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">In the previous session, U.S. markets closed higher. The Dow Jones gained 374.96 points to close at 42,581.78, while the S&amp;P 500 rose 57.33 points to 6,025.17. The Nasdaq also ended strong, adding 183.56 points to close at 19,630.97.</p>
