Age is no barrier to adventure, and Leela Jose from Konnathady, Idukki, has proven it. 
At 70, the homemaker took a tandem skydive in Dubai, leaping from 13,000 feet and becoming one of the oldest Indian women to attempt such a feat.
What started as a running joke among friends turned into reality during a visit to her son, Aneesh, in Dubai. 
When she expressed her wish to skydive, her son initially thought she wasn&rsquo;t serious. 
Once convinced, he contacted a professional skydiving team, who were themselves surprised when Leela, and not her son, arrived ready to jump.
Describing the experience as unforgettable, Leela said she felt an irresistible urge to take the leap. 
Soaring above Dubai&rsquo;s coastline, she even joked that if anything went wrong, she would swim&mdash;after all, she knew how.
This wasn&rsquo;t her first adventure. Leela has previously tried ziplining in Wayanad and paragliding in Fujairah. 
She credits her late husband, a banker, for nurturing her curiosity and adventurous spirit.
Now a mother of two and grandmother of two, Leela says she sees every new experience as a bonus and wants to continue living life fearlessly. 
Her next dream? Space travel.
