Indian rapper Badshah has etched his name in history as the first Indian rapper to appear at New York Fashion Week, attending Alexander Wang&rsquo;s highly anticipated &lsquo;Matriarch&rsquo; show in 2025.
Breaking away from overtly avant-garde front-row styles, Badshah struck a perfect balance between understated and high fashion. Styled by New York based Shipra Sharma, he wore a&nbsp;denim-on-denim ensemble featuring a light-blue oversized zip-up hoodie and matching jeans, paired with Alexander Wang&rsquo;s black chunky-sole boots.
What set the look apart was its luxe detailing. The rapper elevated his casual denim with handcrafted statement brooches from luxury accessories label Deepa Gurnani, featuring intricate animal motifs such as alligator, jay, goat, and elephant, each made by artisans in India. The playful yet couture-like detailing brought a glamorous edge to streetwear.
Accessories completed the vibe: a sleek black clutch, a Richard Mille RM 74-02 timepiece, and futuristic Oakley Metal Jacket sunglasses.
