A Gondal court on Tuesday rejected the bail application of Aniruddhsinh Jadeja, tightening the noose around one of the key accused in the alleged abetment-to-suicide case of businessman Amit Khunt. With the trial court denying relief, Jadeja is now expected to approach the Gujarat High Court seeking anticipatory protection.
The case dates back to earlier this year when Khunt died by suicide, leaving behind a detailed note accusing Aniruddhsinh Jadeja, Rajdeepsinh Jadeja and others of conspiring against him. In the note, Khunt alleged sustained harassment and pressure from the accused, claiming it pushed him towards taking the drastic step.
Following Khunt&rsquo;s death, police registered an FIR naming several individuals. While some of the accused secured bail in the early stages of the investigation, others including Aniruddhsinh Jadeja continue to face judicial scrutiny as the case progresses.
With the latest rejection, legal observers say the matter is now poised to shift to the Gujarat High Court, where the defence is expected to argue procedural lapses and challenge the prosecution&rsquo;s claims. Meanwhile, the victim&rsquo;s family has reiterated their demand for a swift and thorough investigation to ensure justice for Amit Khunt.
