<p data-start="527" data-end="715"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The petitions claimed that the movie spreads false and provocative claims about the Taj Mahal&rsquo;s history, showing a version that goes against what most historians and experts believe.</span></p>
<p data-start="717" data-end="979"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">One petition was filed by advocate Shakeel Abbas, and the other by Chetna Gautam. Abbas asked the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to review the film&rsquo;s approval and add a disclaimer stating that the story is not based on real history.</span></p>
<p data-start="981" data-end="1316"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">He argued that the film&rsquo;s claims could hurt India&rsquo;s image internationally, create confusion about the Taj Mahal&rsquo;s legacy, and disturb communal harmony. His plea said that the movie includes &ldquo;divisive scenes&rdquo; and supports &ldquo;controversial statements&rdquo; made by political leaders and certain groups, which could lead to tension in society.</span></p>
<p data-start="1318" data-end="1517"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The High Court, however, declined to interfere. The judges said that differences in historical interpretation are normal and that such matters should be discussed by scholars, not settled in court.</span></p>
<p data-start="1519" data-end="1781" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node=""><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">By refusing to entertain the case, the court indirectly supported the idea of creative freedom in films and storytelling. It made clear that movies and art cannot be judged only on one version of history, and that viewers are free to form their own opinions.</span></p>
