Ten Bangladeshi nationals who are escaping persecution in their country have been arrested at the Ambassa train station in Tripura's Dhalai district. Five minors, two women, and three old people are among the inmates who fled to India to avoid the growing violence and persecution that Bangladesh's Hindu minorities experience.
The trio was taken into custody by the local police on Saturday and is currently being held at the Ambassa police station. The inmates claim that they entered the state through Kamalpur and then proceeded to Ambassa station with the intention of going to Silchar.
According to one of the prisoners, "We fled our country to avoid being captured by fundamentalists." For Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, the situation has becoming intolerable.
One of the people in custody, Sankar Chandra Sarkar, stated that they left their village, Dhanpur in the Kishoreganj district, after being threatened and intimidated repeatedly.

The episode is a part of a wider flight, as insecurity among Hindu minorities persists after Bangladesh's huge uprising. Illegal crossings have continued despite the state's shutdown of visa applications, underscoring the desperate situation of individuals attempting to reach safety.
A police officer at the Ambassa station said, "We have taken the people into custody and are looking into how they got in. Our top priority is ensuring everyone's safety and security.
A large number of refugees have illegally crossed the border into Tripura in quest of safety due to the continuous persecution in Bangladesh. Managing the humanitarian situation while making sure that the law is followed is a difficult issue for the local authorities.
The predicament of the inmates underscores how urgently the fundamental problems causing this movement must be resolved as well as how important it is to protect and assist people escaping persecution.
