Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal Al Saud, known to millions as Saudi Arabia&rsquo;s &ldquo;Sleeping Prince,&rdquo; has passed away at the age of 36, nearly two decades after falling into a coma due to a tragic car accident in London in 2005.
At just 15 years old, the prince suffered a severe brain haemorrhage and has remained in a vegetative state ever since. Despite extensive medical care in Saudi Arabia, the US, and Spain, he never regained full consciousness.
His father, Prince Khaled bin Talal, remained steadfast in his decision to keep his son on life support, standing by him through the years with unshakable faith and devotion, earning deep public sympathy across the kingdom and beyond.
The prince&rsquo;s death was confirmed by his family, who announcedthat&nbsp; funeral prayers will be held Sunday after Asr at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh.
Born in April 1990, Prince Al-Waleed was the eldest son of Prince Khaled bin Talal. His prolonged coma became a powerful symbol of parental love, faith, and perseverance, and his passing marks the end of one of Saudi Arabia&rsquo;s most emotional royal chapters.
