At least 11 people were killed and eight others injured in a road accident in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province.&nbsp;
The incident occurred in the Jaranwala district on Monday, where a speeding bus collided with a rickshaw, resulting in the deaths of 11 individuals, including women and children, according to local police officials.
Six people died at the scene, while five others succumbed to their injuries while being transported to a nearby hospital. Police reported that at least three of the injured remain in critical condition.
Rescue teams and police units responded promptly to the scene, transferring the injured and the deceased to the hospital.
Initial investigations by the police indicate that the accident was caused by over-speeding and negligence on the part of the bus driver.
