President Isaac Herzog took to X to thank Trump for the "brave and historic" move, which targeted Iran&rsquo;s Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan nuclear facilities. Herzog described the action as &ldquo;a decisive moment between the axis of terror and the axis of hope.&rdquo;
&ldquo;In the pages of human history, this is when the principles of liberty, responsibility, and security have triumphed,&rdquo; Herzog wrote. He expressed hope that the strikes would contribute to a safer Middle East and support efforts to free Israeli hostages held in Gaza.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz echoed the sentiment, congratulating Trump for a &ldquo;historic decision&rdquo; that reinforces regional security. Katz emphasised that the operation was essential to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, which he said would pose a grave threat to Israel, neighbouring countries, and US interests.
Katz also applauded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for leading Operation Rising Lion and maintaining strong US-Israel cooperation. &ldquo;The alliance between the United States and Israel is stronger than ever,&rdquo; he said, reaffirming its importance for peace and stability across the region.
