Two people were killed and at least 34 others injured after Iranian missiles struck residential buildings in Israel on Saturday, in one of the deadliest escalations of the ongoing conflict.
Emergency medical service Magen David Adom (MDA) confirmed the casualties, reporting extensive damage and trauma. Medical teams were dispatched immediately to provide urgent care and transport the wounded to nearby hospitals.
Among the dead were a woman around 60 and a man in his mid-40s, who succumbed to his injuries after emergency CPR failed. A woman was seriously injured, two sustained moderate injuries, and 16 others suffered minor wounds from shrapnel and debris. Several residents were also treated for anxiety.
A separate strike in the Gush Dan region left another 34 people injured, including a woman in critical condition and multiple others in serious and moderate condition. The MDA also reported 13 additional cases of trauma-induced anxiety.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) confirmed that Iran had launched another wave of missile attacks targeting civilian areas.
In response, the IDF Home Front Command advised residents to stay near bomb shelters, even if they are not currently inside them, as air raid sirens continued to sound across multiple areas.
Authorities remain on high alert, with heightened security measures in place and emergency services bracing for further attacks amid the escalating hostilities between Iran and Israel.
