Yet, despite this, protests continue. Demonstrators have adapted &mdash; organising through handwritten notices, local networks and word of mouth. Markets are closing early in silent protest, university campuses are erupting into spontaneous sit-ins, and women remain visibly at the forefront, defying both state authority and enforced social codes.
Security forces now appear overstretched. Reports of plainclothes units blending into crowds, arbitrary detentions, and checkpoints near residential areas indicate a state increasingly reliant on fear rather than legitimacy.
The atmosphere across Iran is no longer one of protest alone; it is one of open defiance. A psychological barrier has been crossed. Many now believe they have little left to lose.
