Amid rising hostilities in the Middle East, Israeli Consul General Kobbi Shoshani has issued a stark warning over Iran&rsquo;s aggressive actions and nuclear ambitions, calling them a direct threat to regional and global peace.
Speaking to IANS from Mumbai, Shoshani said, &ldquo;We are in the fifth day of this war. The Israeli Air Force is effectively targeting military and strategic sites. Iran-backed groups are firing rockets into Israeli civilian areas, causing significant casualties and damage. This is not just another conflict&mdash;it&rsquo;s a pivotal moment in the region.&rdquo;
He stressed that Iran&rsquo;s goal is not deterrence but the destruction of Israel, driven by its pursuit of nuclear weapons. Shoshani warned that Tehran&rsquo;s ambitions could trigger global catastrophe, urging urgent international intervention.
"Superpowers like the US are attempting to mediate, but Iran must renounce its nuclear plans. A nuclear Iran would be disastrous not just for Israel but for the entire world," he stated.
The Israeli diplomat also highlighted the shifting global consensus. &ldquo;Across Europe and the West, there is growing recognition that Iran is the real destabilising force in the region.&rdquo;
As the conflict intensifies, Israel has called on the international community to stand in solidarity against what it labels as Iran&rsquo;s campaign of terror. With diplomacy faltering and violence escalating, nations are on high alert, bracing for the broader implications of this rapidly evolving crisis.
