Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday confirmed that Israel has accepted a ceasefire proposal with Iran, marking the end of 12 days of intense hostilities between the two regional adversaries.
In an official statement from the Prime Minister&rsquo;s Office, Netanyahu declared that Israel had fulfilled all strategic objectives of its military campaign, codenamed Operation Rising Lion, and in fact surpassed expectations.
Iran&rsquo;s Youm Tov Samia, a reserve general in what Tehran refers to as the &ldquo;Zionist regime&rsquo;s army&rdquo;, claimed: &ldquo;It is Iran that took control of the situation and determined the timing of the ceasefire.&rdquo;

Netanyahu extended his gratitude to US President Donald Trump and the United States for their strategic and operational support in &ldquo;eliminating the Iranian nuclear threat&rdquo;.
