Canadian police have identified a 32-year-old man, Abdul Ghafoori, as the prime suspect and issued a search warrant against him on charges of first-degree murder.
According to the Toronto Police Service, officers responded to a missing person complaint late on the night of December 19 in the Strachan Avenue and Wellington Street West area. Following an overnight search, police located Khurana&rsquo;s body inside a residential property at around 6.30 am on December 20. The death was subsequently classified as a homicide, and the case was handed over to the Homicide Unit.
Investigators stated that the victim and the suspect were known to each other. Media reports citing police sources indicate that the incident is being treated as a case of intimate partner violence.
