Other options are also being explored,&rdquo; the statement said.</span></p>

Jaishankar regarding the condition of students from the region stranded in Iran. Over 1,500 Indian students&mdash;mostly from Jammu and Kashmir&mdash;are studying in Iranian cities like Tehran, Shiraz, and Qom, predominantly pursuing medical courses such as MBBS.</span></p>
<p data-start="1219" data-end="1514"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Earlier, the Indian Embassy in Iran had urged all Indian nationals and Persons of Indian Origin to stay vigilant and register their details via a Google form. <p data-start="1516" data-end="1760"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The current conflict escalated after Israel launched &ldquo;Operation Rising Lion,&rdquo; targeting key Iranian military leadership and nuclear infrastructure. In retaliation, Iran launched counterstrikes, leading to several days of mutual missile attacks.</span></p>
<p data-start="1762" data-end="1900"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Both countries have signaled continued escalation. Iran has issued strong warnings, while Israel maintains that operations will intensify.</span></p>
