India Slams Pakistan at UNHRC, Calls It a &lsquo;Failed State Surviving on Aid&rsquo;
Geneva:&nbsp;India hit back at Pakistan&rsquo;s repeated attempts to raise Kashmir at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), calling it a &ldquo;failed state&rdquo; that thrives on instability and relies on international aid for survival.
At the seventh meeting of the 58th session of the UNHRC, Kshitij Tyagi, First Secretary at India&rsquo;s Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva, strongly rebutted Pakistan&rsquo;s allegations, accusing Islamabad of misusing international platforms to spread falsehoods.

&ldquo;It is regrettable to see Pakistan's leaders and delegates continuing to spread falsehoods handed down by its military-terrorist complex. Pakistan is making a mockery of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) by abusing it as its mouthpiece,&rdquo; said Tyagi. &ldquo;It is unfortunate that this Council's time continues to be wasted by a failed state which thrives on instability and survives on international handouts.&rdquo;
Reaffirming India&rsquo;s position, Tyagi underscored that Jammu and Kashmir, along with Ladakh, are an &ldquo;integral and inalienable&rdquo; part of India, highlighting the socio-economic progress achieved in the region.
&ldquo;The unprecedented political, social, and economic development in Jammu and Kashmir in recent years speaks for itself,&rdquo; Tyagi said. &ldquo;These successes are a testament to the people's trust in the government&rsquo;s commitment to bringing normalcy to a region scarred by decades of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.&rdquo;
Taking a sharp swipe at Pakistan&rsquo;s internal turmoil, Tyagi urged Islamabad to move past its &ldquo;unhealthy obsession&rdquo; with India and focus on resolving its own domestic challenges.
&ldquo;India remains focused on democracy, progress, and ensuring dignity for its people&mdash;values that Pakistan would do well to learn from,&rdquo; he said.
Pakistan has frequently used international forums to push its rhetoric on Kashmir, a move that India has consistently dismissed as an attempt to deflect attention from its own governance failures and human rights issues.
The latest exchange at the UNHRC underscores the deep divide between the two neighbors, with India maintaining that any discussions on Kashmir remain an internal matter, while Pakistan continues its diplomatic offensive against New Delhi.
