The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has reportedly prevented a potential terror attack planned in Michigan during the Halloween weekend.
FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the operation in a post on X, saying agents arrested &ldquo;multiple individuals&rdquo; suspected of plotting a violent act. While Patel did not share specific details, he assured that the agency acted swiftly to neutralize the threat.
&ldquo;This morning, the FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack and arrested multiple subjects in Michigan who were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend,&rdquo; Patel said in his post.
The FBI chief added that further information about the suspects and the nature of the plot would be shared after investigations are complete.
In a related update, the Dearborn Police Department in Detroit confirmed that FBI teams had conducted operations in the area early Friday morning. The department stated that there is currently &ldquo;no threat to the community&rdquo; and that public safety remains secure.
Authorities have yet to disclose the suspects&rsquo; identities or the intended targets, but officials emphasized that quick intelligence and coordination prevented what could have been a major tragedy.
