In a deeply moving appeal, leading Baloch human rights activist Mir Yar Baloch has written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, expressing gratitude for India&rsquo;s united stand against Pakistan sponsored terrorism, while urging recognition of Balochistan&rsquo;s decades long struggle for freedom and dignity.
The letter was sent just hours before India&rsquo;s Parliament commenced a major debate on Operation Sindoor, a response to recent terror attacks.
Addressing 1.4 billion Indians, Mir Yar Baloch spoke on behalf of over 60 million Baloch people, hailing India&rsquo;s political unity and principled global stance. &ldquo;Your solidarity inspires us. India&rsquo;s resolve against terrorism reflects hope not only for your citizens, but also for oppressed communities beyond your borders,&rdquo; he wrote.
He highlighted India&rsquo;s growing global stature and firm response to terrorism, contrasting it with Pakistan&rsquo;s continued brutality in Balochistan,&nbsp;including alleged abductions, airstrikes, and human rights violations, especially after Baloch solidarity with India was made public.
The letter also underscored Balochistan&rsquo;s strategic significance, citing its natural resources and potential to disrupt the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which the activist described as a &ldquo;direct threat&rdquo; to Indian sovereignty. He noted Baloch willingness to assist India in denying Pakistan&rsquo;s access to the Arabian Sea via Gwadar.
Mir Yar emphasized Balochistan&rsquo;s pluralistic values, citing the protection of the Hinglaj Mata Temple,&nbsp;a sacred Shakti Peetha, as proof of the community's respect for cultural harmony, even under pressure from radical forces.
&ldquo;Our people see India not just as a neighbour, but as a symbol of democratic resistance and hope,&rdquo; he wrote, urging Indian lawmakers to amplify Balochistan&rsquo;s cause during the Parliamentary session.
The letter concluded by reaffirming the Baloch people&rsquo;s commitment to secular, democratic principles and their aspiration to live in peace, with support from democratic partners like India.
