At least two people were killed and multiple others were injured after a shooting broke out outside the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada.
According to the Reno Gazette-Journal, police responded to reports of an active shooter at 7:25 a.m. local time. Officers quickly located the suspect, an adult male, and shot him. He was taken to a hospital, though his condition remains unknown.
The shooting unfolded in the valet area of the casino, with the crime scene stretching to the northern parking lot. Authorities have yet to confirm the total number of injuries.
This incident follows another recent tragedy during WestFest in West Valley City, Utah, where a 41-year-old woman, an 18-year-old man, and an 8-month-old baby were killed in a mass shooting. Two teenagers were also injured, while a pregnant woman was hurt trying to escape.
Police have arrested a 16-year-old male in connection with the Utah shooting. Authorities confirmed no other suspects are currently being pursued.
The twin tragedies underscore America&rsquo;s ongoing gun violence crisis, sparking renewed concerns over public safety at crowded venues.
