The arrested suspects&mdash;Vikram Kumar Shah, Dharampal Singh, and Aniket Kumar&mdash;were taken into custody under FIR No. 182/2025 at Phase-1 police station in Gautam Buddha Nagar. They now face charges under sections 318, 319, 336, 337, 338, 340, and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.</span></div>

The arrest followed specific intelligence received on May 3, which prompted a swift raid on the gang's Sector 3 office by a team led by Additional SP Raj Kumar Mishra and Deputy SP Navendu Kumar.</span></div>

<div><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Investigators revealed that the gang had been in contact with the relatives of NEET UG aspirants, offering guaranteed admission in exchange for hefty payments. Their standard fee was ₹5 lakh per candidate. During questioning, 30-year-old mastermind Vikram Kumar Shah, originally from Darbhanga, Bihar, disclosed that he met co-accused Aniket Kumar in 2011 while pursuing a biotechnology degree at Vinayaka Mission University in Chennai. The duo initially helped students gain admission to the university, charging a 30 percent commission.</span></div>

<div><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">After moving to Delhi, Shah joined hands with Dharampal Singh, and together they formed a company called &ldquo;Admission View.&rdquo; The group systematically collected data on medical aspirants and approached families with false promises of assured seats. The gang&rsquo;s technique included advising students to fill out only the answers they were confident about on the OMR sheet. These sheets were then swapped with ones containing correct answers&mdash;effectively manipulating the evaluation process.</span></div>

<div><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Families who paid the full amount were promised results, but in cases of failure, the gang used delay tactics or vanished entirely to avoid refunds. Following multiple complaints, the trio changed their front in 2023, setting up a new firm named "SHREYANVI EDU OPC PVT LTD," again operating from Noida&rsquo;s Sector 3. The same fraudulent model was revived under the new company name.</span></div>
