In a dramatic turn in the Durgapur gang rape case, the elder sister of one of the accused helped police track him down, saying she &ldquo;wanted him to face the law.&rdquo; With her help, the prime accused, Safiq Sk, was caught from under Andal bridge in Durgapur. His arrest, along with that of another suspect, brought all five accused into police custody. Officials confirmed plans to reconstruct the crime scene near the Paranaganj Kali Bari cremation ground as part of the ongoing investigation.
The 23-year-old medical student from Odisha was allegedly gang-raped near her college when five men attacked her and her male friend on Friday night. Police said the attackers took turns assaulting her after snatching her phone. One of the accused was a former college security guard, while another worked in a hospital. The brutality of the assault has shaken Bengal and sparked widespread anger against the state government&rsquo;s response.

Police say all accused are in custody and promised, &ldquo;The culprits will not be spared.&rdquo;
