The body of Ajeet Chaudhary, a 22-year-old MBBS student from Rajasthan, was brought back from Russia to his native Alwar on Monday. Ajeet had been missing since October 19, and his body was discovered near the White River dam in Ufa on November 6. His death has left many questions unanswered for his grieving family.
A native of Kafanwada village in Laxmangarh tehsil, Ajeet was studying at Bashkir State Medical University. His relatives said the first post-mortem was conducted in Russia before the body was flown to India. Upon arrival, it was taken to the Alwar district hospital for another examination. Later, the body was moved to his village for cremation, where hundreds gathered to bid their last farewell.
The young medical student&rsquo;s family had reportedly sold a portion of their farmland to fund his education abroad. His cousin, Bhanwar Singh, expressed deep concern over the unclear circumstances surrounding Ajeet&rsquo;s death. &ldquo;There are still many unanswered questions. We need a deeper, thorough investigation into what really happened,&rdquo; he said, urging authorities to probe all angles.
While the cause of death remains unconfirmed publicly, the family and villagers are demanding clarity from both Indian and Russian authorities. Local officials have yet to disclose further details, and pressure is mounting for diplomatic intervention to ensure a transparent inquiry into the tragedy.
