Addressing a public rally in Alipurduar, West Bengal, he warned that any future aggression against India would provoke an even harsher response.</span></p>
<p data-start="363" data-end="584"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">&ldquo;The people of West Bengal were outraged by the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam on April 22,&rdquo; Modi said. &ldquo;Those behind the Pahalgam massacre have felt the might of Sindoor. Pakistan never anticipated our resolve.&rdquo;</span></p>
<p data-start="586" data-end="740"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">He emphasized, &ldquo;Operation Sindoor is not concluded. We&rsquo;ve struck three times already. If there is another attack, the enemy will pay a far greater price.&rdquo;</span></p>
<p data-start="742" data-end="1182"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">In his speech, the Prime Minister sharply criticized Pakistan, stating it has been a breeding ground for terrorism since its creation. &ldquo;From the beginning, Pakistan has only fostered terror. It began its attacks against India right after the 1947 partition, and continued its reign of terror in what later became Bangladesh,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;The world knows about the atrocities committed by the Pakistani Army &mdash; mass killings and brutal crimes.&rdquo;</span></p>
<p data-start="1184" data-end="1441"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Modi asserted that Pakistan avoids direct confrontation with India because it fears certain defeat. &ldquo;That&rsquo;s why they use terrorists as proxies. But after Pahalgam, India has made it clear &mdash; those orchestrating terror will face severe consequences,&rdquo; he said.</span></p>
<p data-start="1443" data-end="1680"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">He also underlined the importance of West Bengal in India&rsquo;s development. &ldquo;India&rsquo;s growth depends on Bengal&rsquo;s prosperity. That&rsquo;s why the central government has invested thousands of crores in the state&rsquo;s development over the last decade.&rdquo;</span></p>
