NTPC Limited has announced that its Barh Super Thermal Power Project in Bihar will become fully operational from July 1, as the last remaining unit &mdash; Unit 3 (660 MW) &mdash; under Stage I is set to begin commercial production.
In a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges, NTPC stated:
&ldquo;Unit 3 (660 MW) of Barh STPP Stage-I (3x660 MW) is declared on commercial operation with effect from 00:00 hrs of 01.07.2025.&rdquo;
This brings the total commercial capacity of NTPC to 60,978 MW on a standalone basis and 82,080 MW including group companies.
The Barh project comprises five units of 660 MW each, divided into two stages. Stage I includes Units 1&ndash;3, while Stage II includes Units 4 and 5.
