In a tragic road accident in Jaipur&rsquo;s Loha Mandi area, at least 13 people lost their lives and 18 others sustained injuries after a speeding dumper truck collided with 17 vehicles near the Harmada Police Station limits on Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 1 PM when the truck, coming from Road No. 14, lost control while entering the highway near a petrol pump. The high-speed impact caused massive damage, leaving several vehicles crushed and scattered across the road.
Emergency teams and police officials quickly reached the site to carry out rescue and relief operations. Among the injured, three people in critical condition were transferred to the SMS Hospital Trauma Centre for intensive treatment.
Authorities described the scene as one of the worst road accidents in Jaipur in recent months, with visuals showing mangled vehicles, debris, and bystanders assisting rescue personnel as traffic was gradually restored.
The police have launched an investigation to determine whether mechanical failure, rash driving, or brake malfunction led to the devastating crash.
