Police in Jammu and Kashmir seized weapons, ammunition, unaccounted cash, electronic devices, and documents, and arrested several individuals following raids at 56 locations in Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur, and Reasi.
The two-day operation targeted terrorist networks linked to Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), especially Over Ground Workers (OGWs) and suspected operatives across the Jammu region.
Talking to the media on November 27, Anand Jain, Additional Director General of Police (Jammu), described the raids as part of an ongoing effort to dismantle terror support systems.
&ldquo;Further operations are planned to target any remaining elements trying to disrupt peace in the region,&rdquo; he added. 
&ldquo;These operations are linked to investigations into cases registered in Rajouri and Thannamandi, as well as Basantgarh, where OGWs were reportedly facilitating logistics, recruitment, and the movement of arms and funds for banned outfits,&rdquo; said a police spokesperson. 
Superintendent of Police Ajay Sharma highlighted the critical role of public support in combating terrorism. &ldquo;The community&rsquo;s cooperation has been vital. People feel confident approaching us with information about suspicious activities,&rdquo; he said.
In Rajouri, searches were conducted in Darhal, Kalakote, Manjakote, and Dharamsal, while in Poonch, police combed through Surankote, Mandi, Mendhar, and Gursai. In Udhampur&rsquo;s Basantgarh area, 25 locations were searched, including Rai Chak, Chaka, and Ponara. Similar operations took place in Reasi, focusing on villages like Gulabgarh, Arnas, and Mahore-Chasana.
The raids were conducted carefully to avoid civilian inconvenience, and the police say they are committed to uprooting the terror infrastructure in the region.
