India on Sunday firmly rejected Pakistan&rsquo;s allegations linking New Delhi to the recent attacks in Balochistan, describing them as baseless and aimed at diverting attention from Islamabad&rsquo;s internal problems. The Ministry of External Affairs said such claims reflect Pakistan&rsquo;s long-standing pattern of deflecting responsibility rather than addressing ground realities.
Responding to statements made by Pakistan&rsquo;s leadership, the MEA said Islamabad should focus on resolving the long-pending political and economic grievances of the people of Balochistan. It highlighted Pakistan&rsquo;s record of repression, excessive use of force and alleged human rights violations in the region, which has witnessed prolonged unrest.
The ministry noted that instead of repeatedly making unfounded accusations after every violent incident, Pakistan would be better served by engaging with the legitimate demands of the Baloch population. The statement underlined that the situation in Balochistan is a result of internal dynamics and governance failures.
India&rsquo;s response came after Pakistan&rsquo;s Interior Minister alleged Indian involvement in the latest wave of violence in the province. The recent attacks reportedly resulted in the deaths of more than 15 Pakistani soldiers and dozens of militants.
Balochistan has remained a volatile region for years, marked by frequent clashes between ethnic Baloch militant groups and Pakistani security forces. Multiple attacks were reported across the province on Saturday, underscoring the continuing instability and long-running conflict in the resource-rich but troubled region.
