<p data-start="90" data-end="509"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The Gujarat Education Department has transferred Krupa Jha, currently serving as District Education Officer (DEO) for Ahmedabad (Rural), to the position of District Primary Education Officer (DPEO) in Mahisagar district. The transfer has been made in the public interest and is effective immediately, as stated in the official notification signed by Additional Secretary G.T. Pandya under the authority of the Governor.</span></p>
<p data-start="511" data-end="665"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Until a new officer is appointed, Rohit Chaudhary, the DEO for Ahmedabad (Urban), will take on the additional responsibility of Ahmedabad (Rural) as well.</span></p>
<p data-start="667" data-end="1005"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">In a separate development, St Xavier&rsquo;s School, Loyola Hall, Ahmedabad has been directed by the DEO to refund ₹16,589 per student for collecting excess fees during the academic years 2024&ndash;25 and 2025&ndash;26. A fee audit conducted on July 11 found that the school had charged more than the amount approved by the Fee Regulation Committee (FRC).</span></p>
<p data-start="1007" data-end="1305"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Although the school submitted that it had filed an appeal with the Fee Revision Committee challenging the FRC-approved fee structure, the DEO found the explanation insufficient. The school has been asked to initiate the refund process immediately and provide supporting documents within seven days.</span></p>
<p data-start="1307" data-end="1427" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node=""><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Failure to comply will result in legal action and a formal report being submitted to the FRC&rsquo;s Ahmedabad Zone Committee.</span></p>
