<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Security agencies launched a swift and urgent response after a bomb threat email was received on Thursday, targeting key government offices in Gandhinagar, including the Gujarat Chief Minister&rsquo;s Office (CMO) and the Collector&rsquo;s Office. The email, sent from an Outlook domain, warned of planned explosions at prominent locations such as the Secretariat (Sachivalaya), Swarnim Sankul and the CMO.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) D.T. Gohil of Gandhinagar Police told&nbsp;<em>Benefit News</em>, &ldquo;Nearly two days ago, an employee of the Gujarat government received a bomb threat via email. The locations mentioned were the Sachivalaya, Swarnim Sankul and the CMO.&rdquo;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">He confirmed that multiple teams, including the Local Crime Branch (LCB), Special Operations Group (SOG), Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and senior officers, were immediately deployed. A comprehensive search operation was carried out, but no suspicious objects or explosives were discovered.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">A formal complaint was registered at Sector 7 Police Station. An FIR was filed by Rescue and Safety Team Sub-Inspector K. Ruburo under Section 351(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 66 of the Information Technology Act.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The incident has triggered a high-level investigation involving local police, cybercrime experts and intelligence units. Efforts are underway to trace the origin of the email and uncover the intent behind the threat.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">This threat has reignited concerns over security in Gujarat, which has witnessed similar incidents in the past. The Gujarat High Court has previously received bomb threats twice, while other high-profile locations including the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and courts in Surat, Vadodara and Veraval have also been targeted.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">In response to the current threat, security has been intensified across all sensitive government offices. The Home Department, police forces and cybersecurity teams have been placed on high alert to ensure public safety and institutional security.</span></p>
