On May 8, 2025, a tragic helicopter crash near Gangnani in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, resulted in the deaths of five tourists and left one individual injured. The private helicopter was en route from Dehradun to Gangotri when it went down around 9 a.m.
The passengers aboard the ill-fated flight were identified as Vinit Gupta, Arvind Agarwal, Vipin Agarwal, Pinki Agarwal, Rashmi, and Kishore Jadhav. Emergency response teams, including the police, Army personnel, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and medical units, promptly arrived at the crash site to conduct rescue operations.
