<p data-start="73" data-end="313"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">A devastating fire broke out in a residential building in Dwarka Sector-13, New Delhi, on Tuesday morning, resulting in the tragic deaths of a father and his two 10-year-old children after they jumped from the 9th floor to escape the blaze.</span></p>
<p data-start="315" data-end="617"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The fire erupted at the Shapath Society near MRV School at around 9:58 a.m., rapidly engulfing the 8th and 9th floors. Panic spread through the building as residents rushed to evacuate. While most were safely rescued, one family made a desperate attempt to escape the flames by jumping from their flat.</span></p>
<p data-start="619" data-end="869"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Despite efforts from bystanders to catch them, the two children&mdash;a boy and a girl&mdash;and their father, 35-year-old Yash Yadav, succumbed to their injuries. The children were declared dead at Aakash Hospital, and Yadav was pronounced dead at IGI Hospital.</span></p>
<p data-start="871" data-end="970"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">His wife and elder son survived the incident and are currently receiving treatment at IGI Hospital.</span></p>
<p data-start="972" data-end="1205"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Eight fire tenders and a sky lift were deployed by the fire department to control the blaze and assist with rescue efforts. Shocking visuals showed thick smoke and flames pouring from broken windows as emergency teams worked on site.</span></p>
<p data-start="1207" data-end="1522"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Authorities have shut off electricity and gas lines in the building to prevent further danger, and an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) have been directed to assess the structural safety of the affected building.</span></p>
