Early on Friday, four people were killed in a fatal road accident in Bengaluru Rural district, including two children, after a collision between an Andhra Pradesh RTC bus and a truck. Sixteen individuals were injured in the accident, with two of them currently in a critical condition.
The police stated that all the deceased hailed from the Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh and have been identified as Keshava Reddy (44), Tulasi (21), Pranathi (04), and Maria (01)&nbsp;
The event took place at Gottipura Gate in Hoskote taluka, situated along the National Highway between Kolar and Hoskote, on the outskirts of Bengaluru city.&nbsp;
Police claim that the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation bus was en route from Tirupati to Bengaluru.
While passing, the bus driver apparently lost control and collided with the rear of the truck, which was also travelling to Bengaluru.
After a preliminary investigation, authorities believe the driver may have fallen asleep, which is why the accident happened.
The bus was reduced to a mangled state as a result of the accident. The Hoskote traffic police are looking into the incident, and the injured are receiving treatment at a private hospital in Hoskote.
Six people were killed in a terrible traffic accident that occurred in the Karnataka district of Vijayapura on May 21 and involved an SUV, a bus, and a truck. The collision happened on National Highway 50 at Managooli town, near Basavana Bagewadi, Vijayapura district.
Five individuals died in two separate terrible traffic accidents in Chitradurga district and Hosakote town, which are close to Bengaluru, Karnataka, on May 12.
In the first incident, a truck and an Innova car collided head-on in the morning in Chitradurga, close to the Kanive Anjaneya shrine on the national highway, killing three persons, including a woman. The car was so badly damaged in the incident that it was unrecognisable.
A tempo and a two-wheeler collided at Chikkahullur hamlet in Hoskote taluk, Bengaluru Rural district, early in the morning, killing two people and seriously injuring another.
Police say the incident occurred after the motorbike was struck by an overspeeding tempo.
