<p data-start="58" data-end="334"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Two Indian Air Force helicopters successfully airlifted eight villagers stranded in floods near the Upper Maneru Project, Gambhiraopet Mandal in Rajanna Sircilla district. The villagers had been trapped since Wednesday, over 26 hours before being rescued.</span></p>
<p data-start="336" data-end="627"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Arvind Kumar, Special Chief Secretary for Disaster Management, Telangana, confirmed the operation&rsquo;s success. The state government coordinated closely with Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the GOC of Telangana and Andhra Sub Area, and Air Force Station Hakimpet.</span></p>
<p data-start="629" data-end="862"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Bandi Sanjay thanked Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for their prompt response in deploying the helicopters and also appreciated IAF Commodore VS Saini and the team for their efficient coordination.</span></p>
<p data-start="864" data-end="1130"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The minister added that the helicopters will remain stationed at Sircilla for immediate assistance if needed. The stranded men had gone to graze cattle when the floods trapped them. Essential supplies were delivered using drones while rescue efforts were underway.</span></p>
<p data-start="1132" data-end="1356"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">State Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha visited flood-affected areas in Ramayampet, Medak district, inspected submerged colonies, and directed officials to shift residents to safer locations with necessary essentials.</span></p>
<p data-start="1358" data-end="1531" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node=""><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Revenue, police, and disaster management teams have so far rescued 60 people from flood-hit areas, with the NDRF providing full support for evacuation and relief operations.</span></p>
