The individuals were taken into custody and sent to a detention centre after a special team completed legal formalities and obtained deportation orders through the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO).</span></p>
<p data-start="589" data-end="783"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The detainees include individuals who had either overstayed their visas or entered India without valid documentation. The FRRO issued deportation orders after verifying the details of each case.</span></p>
<p data-start="785" data-end="1036"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The operation was conducted under the supervision of Additional DCP-I Dr. Chandra Prakash, with the team led by ACP Badli Shashi Kant Gaur and SHO Alipur Shailender Kumar. During the drive, the documents of 831 suspected Bangladeshis were scrutinized.</span></p>
<p data-start="1038" data-end="1498"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">According to an official statement, the week-long operation identified 121 individuals residing illegally in the country. Legal proceedings have commenced, and a case (FIR No. 345/2025) has been registered at the Narela Industrial Area Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Foreigners Act, 1946. Authorities are investigating the syndicates suspected of facilitating the illegal entry and stay of these immigrants.</span></p>
<p data-start="1500" data-end="1733"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">A special investigation team, constituted under the direction of Special Commissioner of Police (Law &amp; Order, Zone-I) Ravindra Kumar Yadav, includes one ACP, one Inspector, two Sub-Inspectors, two Head Constables, and two Constables.</span></p>
<p data-start="1735" data-end="1965"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">So far, five Indian nationals have been questioned, all of whom were found to be renting out properties to undocumented immigrants. One of them has been issued a notice under Section 35(3) of the BNS (formerly Section 41(A) CrPC).</span></p>
<p data-start="1967" data-end="2236"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The probe is also focusing on the origin of fake documents such as electricity meter records, Aadhaar cards, and voter IDs obtained by illegal immigrants. Relevant government departments have been served notices, and legal action is expected against all those involved.</span></p>
