In a coordinated anti-terror operation, the Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) wing of the Jammu &amp; Kashmir Police carried out extensive searches at 10 different locations across four districts, Ganderbal, Budgam, Pulwama, and Srinagar. The operation focused on dismantling a network suspected of recruiting local youth into terrorism.
According to sources, the action is linked to ongoing investigations against handlers based in Pakistan, including Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Abdullah Ghazi. The raids were based on intelligence inputs regarding active sleeper cells facilitating militant activities within the Valley.
Six searches were conducted in Ganderbal, with the remaining four spread across Budgam, Pulwama, and Srinagar. While authorities have not yet released details on arrests or recoveries, the operation is believed to have yielded crucial digital evidence.
This action follows a series of recent high-impact raids in Jammu &amp; Kashmir aimed at neutralizing funding and recruitment pipelines. Just last week, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) executed similar raids tied to crypto-based terror financing. The fresh crackdown underscores the state&rsquo;s heightened focus on preventing radicalization and cross-border terror influence.
The police emphasized that all actions are being carried out based on solid intelligence and within legal frameworks. The crackdown is part of a broader counter-terror strategy to eliminate the so-called "terror ecosystem" that continues to pose threats to peace in the region.
