A new CCTV footage has added a crucial twist to the investigation into the firing outside Bollywood actor Disha Patani&rsquo;s residence in Bareilly on September 12. The video shows four suspects refuelling their motorcycles at a petrol pump just days before the attack, exposing how the gang meticulously plotted the assault.
According to police, the prime suspects, Nakul and Vijay, made at least four trips to Bareilly between September 6 and 12, carrying out multiple recces of Patani&rsquo;s home. On September 9, they were joined by Arun in another survey of the area. The gang checked into two hotels, Hotel Preet and Hotel Hind, before fleeing to Rampur after the shooting.
Police have now announced a ₹1.5 lakh reward each for Nakul and Vijay, who remain on the run. Meanwhile, two other shooters, Ravindra alias Kallu and Arun, both from Haryana, were killed in a fierce encounter near Ghaziabad&rsquo;s Tronica City.
&ldquo;In a joint operation of Delhi Police Special Cell, UP STF and Haryana STF, two active members of the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang were neutralised. They were directly involved in the Bareilly firing,&rdquo; said Additional Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Pramod Singh Kushwah.
Officials revealed the gang initially had five members, though one backed out due to illness.
The firing itself took place at around 3:30 am on September 12, when two men on a motorbike opened fire outside Patani&rsquo;s residence. Soon after, a social media handle linked to Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar claimed responsibility.
Investigators say the shooters used two motorcycles: Nakul and Vijay rode a black Splendour, while Ravindra and Arun used a white Apache.
The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force has examined over 2,000 CCTV clips to reconstruct the gang&rsquo;s movements across Bareilly and nearby districts. One of the shooters, Ravindra, was first identified through CCTV footage near the actor&rsquo;s home.
Police sources said the accused arrived in Bareilly on September 10, stayed two nights, and fled after the early morning attack. Their movements were eventually traced to Ghaziabad, where they attempted to escape before being cornered.
All four shooters were confirmed as active operatives of the&nbsp;Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang, a faction with strong ties to Canada-based networks and a history of violent crime.
Authorities continue to hunt for Nakul and Vijay, whose recces and role in the operation are now under sharp scrutiny.
