In a fresh wave of security alerts, at least 40 schools in Bengaluru received bomb threats on Friday, triggering panic and large-scale police deployments across the city.
The scare comes on the heels of similar threats targeting 20 schools in Delhi earlier the same day. Among the affected schools in the national capital were St. Xavier's in Civil Lines, Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar, Abhinav Public School, and The Sovereign School in Rohini&mdash;marking the fourth consecutive day of such threats in Delhi.
According to reports, the threatening emails in Bengaluru were received by private schools across areas like Rajarajeshwari Nagar and Kengeri, sparking fear among parents and school authorities.
Bengaluru City Police confirmed that multiple search and bomb detection squads have been dispatched to the affected schools. No explosives have been found yet, and a probe is underway to track the source of these messages.
Authorities are treating this as a serious coordinated threat, and both cities remain on high alert as investigations continue.
