Two workers from Bihar were among the 36 killed in the tragic blast at Sigachi Industries in Telangana&rsquo;s Sangareddy district on June 30. Sixteen other workers from Bihar were injured in the incident.
In a first, the Bihar government has dispatched a three-member committee to Telangana to probe the mishap, Bihar Labour Minister Santosh Kumar Singh said Tuesday.
Families of the deceased will receive Rs 4 lakh from the Labour Department and an additional Rs 2 lakh from the Chief Minister&rsquo;s Relief Fund. Injured workers will get Rs 50,000 each.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar expressed deep sorrow and pledged all possible assistance.
The explosion occurred around 8:15 a.m. in the Pashamylaram Industrial Area, reportedly flinging victims over 100 meters. Rescue operations are still underway.
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, after visiting the site, announced Rs 1 crore compensation for the deceased&rsquo;s families, Rs 10 lakh for critically injured, and Rs 5 lakh for others hurt. Immediate aid of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 50,000 will also be disbursed.
Separately, Bihar also launched its &lsquo;CM Pratigya Yojana&rsquo; to support 5,000 interns with monthly stipends this year.
