A routine flight from Ahmedabad to Diu was aborted on Wednesday after the pilot detected a technical snag just before takeoff. The aircraft, carrying around 50 passengers and four crew members, safely returned to the bay without incident.
The incident occurred as the aircraft began taxiing toward the runway. The pilot noticed an irregularity in the system and made a precautionary decision to halt further movement and return to the terminal.
&ldquo;There was no takeoff attempt. The aircraft was brought back to the bay area as a safety measure. All passengers and crew are safe and were deboarded normally,&rdquo; an airline official confirmed.
Importantly, the airline clarified that reports circulating in some media outlets about a fire were &ldquo;completely inaccurate.&rdquo; No fire, smoke, or emergency was observed during the entire process.
Ground staff and technical engineers immediately assessed the aircraft, which has since been grounded for inspection. Passengers were provided assistance, and a replacement aircraft was being arranged to resume the journey to Diu.
Airport operations remained unaffected, and safety protocols were followed without any disruption.
