The Central Government has announced the Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre allocations for candidates selected through the Civil Services Examination 2023, under Rule 5(1) of the IPS (Cadre) Rules, 1954.
As part of the latest allocation, five officers have been posted to the Gujarat cadre, while four candidates from Gujarat have been allotted to various North Eastern states.
Among those assigned to Gujarat is Prakhar Kumar, a Jharkhand native who secured All India Rank 92 in the general category.&nbsp; In contrast, four candidates originally from Gujarat have been assigned to cadres in the Northeast. Raj Patoliya and Jainil Desai, ranked 488 and 490 respectively, will serve in the Manipur cadre. Kanchan Gohil, ranked 506, has been allotted to Nagaland, while Aditya Amrani,&nbsp;who secured rank 702, has been posted to the Assam-Meghalaya cadre.
Kuhoo Garg, who achieved AIR 178 in the general category, also joins the Gujarat cadre. Hailing from Uttarakhand.&nbsp;
Two officers with Gujarat roots have received home cadre postings. Aniket Patel&nbsp;and Karankumar Panna,&nbsp;will serve in their home state.
Completing the list is Deepak Yadav,&nbsp;from Haryana, who has been posted to Gujarat.&nbsp;
The allocation reflects the Union Government&rsquo;s ongoing effort to ensure equitable distribution of officers across states while maintaining administrative balance and addressing regional service needs.
