Meanwhile, 12 people who were rescued are receiving treatment at a local hospital. Additionally, 6-10 individuals are still feared to be trapped in the debris, officials say.
Meanwhile, the Delhi government has announced compensation for the victims.&nbsp;
Announcing the decision, AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha said, "The government has announced ₹10 lakh compensation for families of deceased adults (if any) and ₹5 lakh for the families of the deceased minors. Additionally, ₹2 lakh will be given to the seriously injured and ₹50,000 to those with minor injuries."

A tragic incident occurred in North Delhi's Burari area on Monday evening when a newly constructed four-storey building Kaushik Enclave collapsed. Rescue operations are underway, with 12 people rescued so far, while an estimated 15-20 individuals are still feared trapped under the debris.
The building collapse happened around 6.30 pm, and the first call regarding the incident was made to the police at 6.58 pm. Emergency response teams, including the police, fire brigade, and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), promptly reached the site to begin rescue operations.

Delhi police DCP North Raja Banthia stated, "This was a newly constructed four-storey building that collapsed, trapping several workers. So far, we have rescued 12 individuals, but we suspect that 12-15 more people are still stuck under the rubble. The rescue operation is ongoing, and NDRF teams are on-site to assist."
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari also visited the site to assess the situation. He highlighted the seriousness of the incident and mentioned that initial estimates suggest around 20 people were present in the building at the time of the collapse. He further added that one girl, who was rescued, is in a critical condition and is receiving medical treatment.

A four-storey building near Oscar Public School in Burari, North Delhi, collapsed on Monday evening, according to Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officials. The incident occurred around 6.56 pm, with emergency services swiftly responding to the scene.
The DFS believes multiple people may be trapped under the rubble. Nine fire tenders were dispatched to the spot, along with ambulances. The cause of the collapse is still under investigation, and visuals from the site show large piles of debris scattered across the area.
Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed sorrow over the incident and took swift action. He posted on X, &ldquo;This incident is very sad. Our MLA from Burari, Sanjeev Jha, has been instructed to immediately go there with party workers and assist in relief and rescue operations.&rdquo;
Burari MLA Sanjeev Jha, alongside several AAP workers, reached the site and began coordinating rescue efforts. He confirmed that eight people had been rescued and transported to Burari Hospital. In a post on X, Jha stated, &ldquo;On the orders of Arvind Kejriwal, I, along with party workers, immediately reached the spot and began assisting the administration. So far, 8 people have been rescued and sent to Burari Hospital.&rdquo;
Jha also emphasized that every effort was being made to support the local community in this difficult time. In a video shared by him, rescue officials are seen pulling survivors from the debris.
