The victims were traveling from Chhattisgarh to Vaishali district when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then plunged into the water-filled Saraiya canal.</span></p>
<p data-start="579" data-end="866"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">The deceased have been identified as Nirmala Devi (52), Neetu Singh (36), and Stuti Kumari (10). Two others, Nandan Singh and Riddhi Singh, sustained serious injuries and have been referred to AIIMS Patna for urgent treatment. All the victims are residents of Mahua in Vaishali district.</span></p>
<p data-start="868" data-end="1168"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Police suspect that the driver may have dozed off briefly after driving through the night, leading to the accident. The Station House Officer of Ranitalab confirmed that a rescue operation was swiftly carried out with the help of local villagers. An earthmover was used to retrieve the submerged car.</span></p>
<p data-start="1170" data-end="1343"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Family members of the deceased have been informed and are en route to Patna. Post-mortem procedures are underway, and the local administration has launched an investigation.</span></p>
