In one of the biggest anti-terror recoveries in recent years, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, in a joint operation with the Haryana Police, seized around 300 kilograms of explosives, an AK-47 rifle, and several rounds of ammunition from Faridabad, following the confession of an arrested doctor from Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said the bust came after disclosures made by Dr. Adeel Ahmad Rather, who was arrested earlier for his alleged links to banned terror groups. 
&ldquo;The recovery was made during a raid at Al Falah Hospital in Faridabad, based on information provided by Dr. Adeel Ahmad Rather during interrogation,&rdquo; an official said.
During the operation, another doctor, identified as Dr. Muzamil (Mujahil) Shakeel, who was employed at the same hospital, was also arrested for allegedly helping to store and conceal the explosives.
Faridabad Police Commissioner Satender Kumar Gupta said a forensic examination of the seized weapons and explosives is underway.
According to investigators, both doctors, residents of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir, had coordinated to stock the arms and explosives, allegedly in collaboration with terror outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ghazwat-ul-Hind.
Earlier, the Jammu and Kashmir Police had recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition from a locker belonging to Dr. Rather at the Government Medical College in Anantnag.&nbsp;
He was initially arrested from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, after CCTV footage allegedly showed him putting up posters supporting Jaish-e-Mohammed in Srinagar.
Police sources said the investigation is now focused on how such a large cache of explosives and arms was transported and stored undetected so close to the national capital.
Both accused have been booked under Sections 7/25 of the Arms Act and Sections 13, 28, 38, and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
Officials described the seizure as &ldquo;one of the largest recoveries of explosives linked to the Valley in recent years.&rdquo;
A senior officer said, &ldquo;A wider probe is now focusing on a network of doctors from Jammu and Kashmir suspected of having links with banned terror outfits. More recoveries and arrests are likely.&rdquo;
Meanwhile, a massive anti-terror crackdown is underway across Jammu and Kashmir. 
On Sunday, nine individuals, including a woman, were detained during coordinated raids across several districts, including Ramban, Kishtwar, Doda, Kathua, Reasi, Poonch, and Rajouri, amid intelligence inputs suggesting that terrorists were seeking shelter in the plains for the winter.
