Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) had organized special trading session of trading on the last evening of Vikram Samvat 2080 and to welcome 2081. In an hourlong session, traders and investors were found bullish, because of which BSE Sensex touched to 80000 points and Nifty 24,368. At the end of the session, Sensex ended 0.39% and Nifty 0.42% higher than last working session, Sensex closed at 79,724 points and Nifty 24,299 points.

All sector indices were in green, highest performing indices was NiftyAuto with 1.29% jump, followed by Nifty Oil &amp; Gas 0.99%, Nifty Energy 0.93%, Nifty PSU Bank 0.75%, Nifty Reality 0.68%, Nifty Metal 0.62% and Nifty Media 0.57% up.

Gainers in the market were Mahindra &amp; Mahindra, ONGC, Axis bank, RIL, TaTa Motors and others, whereas HCL, Infosys, TechMahindra, Britannia, ICICI bank and few others were on sellers list today.
