Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday praised Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, saying her life reflects a commitment to the goals she set for public service. He highlighted that her leadership has always been driven by purpose rather than the pursuit of power.
Shah was speaking at the launch of the Gujarati edition of a book on Patel&rsquo;s life, titled Chunautiya Mujhe Pasand Hai. Patel, who earlier served as Gujarat&rsquo;s chief minister following Narendra Modi&rsquo;s move to the Prime Minister&rsquo;s Office, was recognised for her long-standing dedication to governance, education, and social welfare.
The event, held in Gujarat, was attended by Kathakar Rameshbhai Oza and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Shah said the book captures her journey of facing challenges with determination and using leadership as a tool for service.
The newly released edition aims to introduce Patel&rsquo;s story to a wider Gujarati readership, highlighting her decades of work in public life and administration.
