Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the 'Monsoon Festival' at Saputara on July 29. The inauguration ceremony of 'Saputara Megh Malhar Parva 2024' will be held on July 29 at 9.00 am. Monsoon festival is going to be grandly organized at Saputara for one month from July 29 to August 28, 2024. Dated at Boat House Ground, Saputara. The program will begin with a colorful parade in front of the Tourism Corporation's Toran Hotel at the inauguration ceremony on July 29.
In which local musical instruments of Dang, entertaining characters, characters in different costumes, Dangi tribal dance and various activities will be presented. After the colorful parade, the chief guest will arrive at the dome prepared near the Gan Saputara lake. Where a cultural program is organized. At the end of the program, the Chief Minister will flag off the 'Rain Run Marathon' near Saputara Circle. During the Monsoon Festival, tourists will get to enjoy around 18 major attractions in the vicinity, including, Eco Tourism Camp Site-Mahal, Aquarium, Eco Point, Gandharvapur Artist Village, Gira Falls, Governor's Hill, Hathgarh Fort, Madhmakhi Centre, Museums, Nageshwar Mahadev Temple, Purna These include the Sanctuary, Rose Garden, Saputara Lake, Saputara Tribal Museum, Step Garden, Sunrise Point, Sunset Point and the famous Vansada National Park.
Along with this, paper craft workshops and archery practice sessions, worli arts, handicrafts and photography exhibitions will also attract tourists. Tourism Minister said that Saputara's pleasant environment and natural beauty has always been the first choice of tourists.
As a result of the monsoon festival organized by the State Government Tourism Corporation, the number of tourists coming here is gradually increasing. A total of 11.13 lakh tourists visited Saputara throughout the year, including approximately 8.16 lakh during the year 2022 and over 2.44 lakh during the Saputara Festival in 2023. Thus the influx of tourists to the Saputara Festival has resulted in increased sources of income along with employment in Dang and its surrounding areas thus improving the standard of living.
The Tourism Minister said that Saputara, known as 'Cherapunji' of Gujarat, receives an average of 255 cm of monsoon rain every year so that the natural forest flourishes in this region, which attracts tourists from outside the state. Saputara, Gujarat's only hill station, is situated at an altitude of about 3,000 feet above sea level.
Saputara has been developed by Gujarat Tourism as a planned hill station offering facilities like guesthouse, gardens, swimming pool, boat club, auditorium, rope way and museum. स्थानीय पर्यटन के साथ-साथ रोजगार को और बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से मुख्यमंत्री श्री भूपेन्द्र पटेल अगली तारीख पर। 'सापुतारा मेघ मल्हार पर्व 2024' का उद्घाटन समारोह 29 जुलाई को सुबह 9 बजे आयोजित किया जाएगा. 2009 से गुजरात में आयोजित होने वाले मानसून महोत्सव का उद्घाटन इस साल पहली बार मुख्यमंत्री द्वारा किया जा रहा है। पर्यटन मंत्री मौलू बेरा ने कहा कि स्थानीय लोगों में काफी उत्साह है.

कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत 29 जुलाई को उद्घाटन समारोह में पर्यटन निगम के तोरण होटल के सामने रंगारंग परेड से होगी. जिसमें डांग के स्थानीय वाद्ययंत्र, मनोरंजक पात्र, विभिन्न वेशभूषा में पात्र, डांगी आदिवासी नृत्य और विभिन्न गतिविधियां प्रस्तुत की जाएंगी। रंगारंग परेड के बाद मुख्य अतिथि गण सापुतारा झील के पास तैयार किए गए गुंबद पर पहुंचेंगे. जहां सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया जाता है. कार्यक्रम के अंत में मुख्यमंत्री सापुतारा सर्किल के पास 'रेन रन मैराथन' को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना करेंगे.

इसके साथ ही पेपर क्राफ्ट कार्यशालाएं और तीरंदाजी अभ्यास सत्र, वर्ली कला, हस्तशिल्प और फोटोग्राफी प्रदर्शनियां भी पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करेंगी। पर्यटन मंत्री ने कहा कि सापुतारा का मनभावन वातावरण और प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य हमेशा से पर्यटकों की पहली पसंद रहा है. राज्य सरकार पर्यटन निगम द्वारा आयोजित मानसून महोत्सव के परिणामस्वरूप यहां आने वाले पर्यटकों की संख्या धीरे-धीरे बढ़ रही है।
साल भर में कुल 11.13 लाख पर्यटक सापुतारा आए, जिनमें वर्ष 2022 के दौरान लगभग 8.16 लाख और 2023 में सापुतारा महोत्सव के दौरान 2.44 लाख से अधिक पर्यटक शामिल थे। इस प्रकार सापूतारा महोत्सव में पर्यटकों की आमद से डांग और उसके आसपास के क्षेत्रों में रोजगार के साथ-साथ आय के स्रोत भी बढ़े हैं जिससे जीवन स्तर में सुधार हुआ है।
पर्यटन मंत्री ने कहा कि गुजरात के 'चेरापूंजी' के नाम से मशहूर सापूतारा में हर साल औसतन 255 सेमी मानसूनी बारिश होती है, जिससे इस क्षेत्र में प्राकृतिक जंगल पनपते हैं, जो राज्य के बाहर से पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करते हैं। गुजरात का एकमात्र हिल स्टेशन सापूतारा समुद्र तल से लगभग 3,000 फीट की ऊंचाई पर स्थित है। सापुतारा को गुजरात पर्यटन द्वारा एक योजनाबद्ध हिल स्टेशन के रूप में विकसित किया गया है, जिसमें गेस्टहाउस, उद्यान, स्विमिंग पूल, बोट क्लब, ऑडिटोरियम, रोप वे और संग्रहालय जैसी सुविधाएं उपलब्ध हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री की उपस्थिति में होने वाले उद्घाटन समारोह में आदिवासी विकास राज्य मंत्री कुँवरजी हलपति, विधानसभा के उप मुख्य सचेतक एवं डांग विधायक विजय पटेल, वलसाड सांसद धवल पटेल, डांग जिला पंचायत अध्यक्ष श्रीमती निर्मलाबेन गैन सहित पर्यटन निगम के उच्चाधिकारी, स्थानीय पदाधिकारी, नागरिक भाग लेंगे।
